Brick fences across the Lower North Shore.

The Lower North Shore - Mosman, Cremorne, Neutral Bay, Northbridge, Hunters Hill - is the leafy harbourside belt where Federation, Edwardian and Inter-war homes sit on tight, often steep blocks. Brick fences here need to hold their own next to mature gardens and substantial period architecture without blocking harbour views. Cast stone piers, moulded caps, and rendered or face-brick panels are the staple. Council heritage controls are real factors in many streets. Sloping blocks make combined retaining-and-fence builds the norm rather than the exception.
